A delegation from the Qatar Fund for Development, led by CEO Khalifa bin Jassem Al-Kuwari, expressed keen interest in expanding investments in Pakistan’s power generation and housing sectors during a meeting with Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema in Islamabad today.
The delegation, on a two-day visit to Pakistan, discussed plans to bolster bilateral cooperation through technical level discussions.
Minister Cheema highlighted the enduring relations between the two countries and praised Qatar’s contributions to Pakistan’s development, emphasizing Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen ties, particularly in mega water projects.
He also commended Qatar Fund for Development’s services to Pakistan during challenging times and congratulated Al-Kuwari on receiving a Civil Award from the President.
Al-Kuwari affirmed Qatar Fund’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s recovery and prosperity, particularly through climate-resilient infrastructure, extending well wishes on Pakistan Day and expressing gratitude for the Civil Award conferred by the Government of Pakistan.
