Punjab CTD gets Rs810m funds to buy modern weapons

Punjab Home Department has released Rs810 million for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) force to buy latest arms and ammunition to counter terrorism in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

From the funds approved, the CTD force will purchase five bulletproof vehicles, 50 submachine guns, long-range anti-weapon system, 20 guns, thermal imaging scope and GSM locators.

The Home Department released the funds after approval from the Chief Minister Office.
