PSL franchises finalize squads for the 8th edition in Replacement Draft 2023

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) held its online Replacement Draft on Wednesday, during which all six franchises finalized their squads for the competition’s eighth season, which is scheduled to run from February 13 to March 19.

The PSL teams also selected players to fill in for cricketers who won’t be available for the entire season. In the two further rounds of the draught, each team could select a maximum of one foreign cricket player.

For the sports event, player retention decisions were made in November of last year, and the selection was held on December 15.

The opening match of Pakistan’s mega cricket tournament will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium after a festive ceremony, featuring the defending champions Lahore Qalandars against the 2021 champions Multan Sultans.

In Pakistan, games will be played at four different locations: Rawalpindi will host 11, Karachi and Lahore will each host nine games, and Multan will host five.
