PSL 2023: Islamabad United win toss, opt to bowl against Multan Sultans

In the seventh match of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), played on Sunday at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field first against Multan Sultans.

Both teams have made one change each for the match. Abrar Ahmed replaces Asif Ali for Islamabad, while Mohammad Ilyas comes in for Sameen Gul on Multan’s side.

This is the twelfth encounter between the two teams, with Multan leading with six wins compared to Islamabad’s five. Multan Sultans have won two out of their first three matches and currently sit at the top of the table with four points. Islamabad has only played one match so far, which they won convincingly against Karachi Kings.

Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan (C,WK), Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Kieron Pollard, Khushdil Shah, Carlos Brathwaite, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Ihsanullah, Mohammad Ilyas.

Islamabad United:

Paul Stirling, Hassan Nawaz, Colin Munro, Rassie van der Dussen, Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan (WK), Shadab Khan (C), Tom Curran, Faheem Ashraf, Rumman Raees, Mohammad Wasim Jr.
