On Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was given a guard of honor at the Presidential Zugulba Palace.
When Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived at the Zugulba Palace, President Ilham Aliyev greeted him warmly.
A contingent of Azerbaijan’s military forces honored Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as well.
Following that, the two leaders met in the Presidential Palace. Following the meeting, the two leaders will speak to the media. A delegation of Azerbaijan ministers will also meet with the prime minister to discuss bilateral cooperation in the commerce and energy sectors.
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif visited the mausoleum of National Hero and first President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum.
The prime minister also paid a visit to the martyrs’ monument.
