Pakistan and Qatar have decided to be in close contact and continue the process of consolidating and expanding their bilateral relationship.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani reached an understanding during a telephone discussion.
The Qatari Emir congratulated Shehbaz Shaif on his appointment as Prime Minister of Pakistan and promised his full assistance in furthering ties between the two countries.
In his conversation with Sheikh Tamim, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his determination to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and Qatar in a variety of areas, including commerce, investment, energy, communications, and food security.
