People of Balochistan deserve first right on province’s resources: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Friday that the people of Balochistan and their rights to the province’s resources must be prioritized.

Taking to Twitter, he emphasised that when their lives and the lives of their children improve, they would enthusiastically embrace and participate in the growth process.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister, along with federal ministers, army and naval chiefs, the governor, and Balochistan’s chief minister, inaugurated and laid the groundwork for a transformative series of development, infrastructure, and educational projects that will shape the region’s destiny.

Sharif lamented Balochistan’s disappointed neglect throughout time, emphasising that the province’s progress has lagged behind that of other federating units, a position he finds regrettable.

It was quite an eventful day in Gwadar yesterday where I was joined by federal ministers, Army & Naval Chiefs, Governor & CM Balochistan and the government officials. After witnessing the conditions during last year’s terrible floods, the Prime Minister voiced his sympathy for the afflicted Balochistan provinces. “My vision of development revolves around raising people’s living standards, making socioeconomic well-being and welfare the cornerstone of genuine progress,” he continued.

He emphasised the underlying link between Pakistan’s overall progress and the development of Balochistan.

Shehbaz Sharif found inspiration and hope in meeting the province’s youth during the laptop distribution event, observing their enthusiasm and optimism, and reaffirming his belief in a safe and promising future for Balochistan and Pakistan, led by the responsible and capable hands of the younger generation.
