The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a special pink-themed kit for the upcoming Pakistan vs South Africa T20 series to promote breast cancer awareness. The initiative will see players, umpires, and officials wear pink ribbons, while match stumps and in-stadium displays will feature pink branding to support the campaign.
According to PCB CEO Sameer Ahmed Syed, the board is proud to use cricket’s wide influence to raise awareness about breast cancer, emphasizing that early diagnosis can save countless lives. The first T20I between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on October 28 in Rawalpindi, followed by matches in Lahore on October 31 and November 1. The ODI series will then move to Faisalabad from November 4 to 8.
The campaign coincides with growing global attention to breast cancer research, with new treatments showing promising results in reducing disease progression in HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer — a form that accounts for 15–20% of all breast cancer cases.
