On Monday at Canal View, Lahore’s Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) abruptly came to a stop, causing significant difficulty for riders. According to the OLMT management, the train came to a stop because of a problem with the national power grid.

There wasn’t any news on how long the delay will last or when service will restart, leaving passengers detained on the train for an unknown period of time. The passengers were forced to walk to their various destinations in order to avoid more delays.

Since its launch in 2020, OLMT has had a variety of operating difficulties. The delays and technological issues have been annoying for commuters.

The management announced that steps are being done to address the problem and return service as quickly as possible, despite the inconvenience that the power supply breakdown has created. Additionally, they expressed regret to the travelers for the inconvenience.
