Saleem Jaffar, Pakistan’s chief selector, announced a 15-player roster for the bilateral white-ball series against South Africa on Friday.

The series, which comprises three T20Is and three ODIs, will be contested in Karachi next month.

Shawaal Zulfiqar, 18, has been selected for the three T20Is. He is also a member of Pakistan’s squad for the Asian Games next month.

Diana Baig, a right-arm pacer, also makes a comeback and has been included in both squads after recuperating from a finger injury that kept her out for more than six months.

Nida Dar, an accomplished all-rounder, will skipper the squad in lieu of Bismah Maroof, who stepped down following the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup in February this year.
