Pakistan High Commission issues 114 visas to Indian Hindu pilgrims

A party of 114 Indian Hindu pilgrims has received 114 visas from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi for their journey to the illustrious and revered Shree Katas Raj Temples, also known as Qila Katas, in the Chakwal area of Punjab from February 16–22, 2023.

According to a news release from the Pakistan High Commission on Wednesday, the government of Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate visits to religious places was reflected in the granting of visas to Sikh and Hindu pilgrims.

Director of Affairs On this occasion, Salman Sharif congratulated the Hindu pilgrims on a joyful spiritual journey and emphasized that Pakistan is still committed to protecting important religious sites and offering all necessary aid to pilgrims of all religions who are traveling there.

Every year, a significant number of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims travel from India to Pakistan to observe numerous religious occasions and festivals.

In addition, the Pakistan High Commission frequently grants visas to a sizable number of Indian Hindus so they can travel to Pakistan to see their relatives and friends.

The bilateral Protocol on the Visits to Religious Shrines, 1974, covers the pilgrimage of Hindus to the Shree Katas Raj Temple.
