Pakistan beat India in the Group A match of ACC U19 Asia Cup 2021 in a thrilling fashion by 2 wickets on Saturday. Pakistan surpassed the target of 238 runs on the last ball of the 50-over match.

It was a thrilling finish as Pakistan needed 8 off the last over with Ahmad Khan and Zeeshan Zameer in the pitch.

On the first ball of the last over, Ravi Kumar removed Zameer for a duck. On the next 3 balls, Pakistan scored 4 runs and the equation came down to 4 required off 2 balls. Ahmad took 2 off the penultimate ball. On the last ball of the over, Ahmad hit a four to take his side home.

Muhammad Shahzad was top scores for Pakistan with 82 runs with the help of five sixes and four boundaries.

Zeeshan Zameer played prominently with the ball as he bagged a five-wicket haul while conceding 60 runs in his 10 overs while Captain Qasim Akram takes the wicket of Kaushal Tambe – who scored 32 runs in 38 balls.

Rajvardhan Hangargekar scored 33 runs off 20 balls to give the innings much-needed impetus at the backend.

Maaz Ahmad Sadaqat broke the 38-run partnership between Rajangad Bawa and Aaradhya Yadav by sending the former back to the pavilion. Bawa scored 25 runs in 59 balls, whereas Yadav remained unbeaten on twenty-four runs off fifty-two balls.

Earlier today, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first as the two arch-rivals locked horns with each other in the U19 Asia Cup 2021.
