Jesse McCree, a person in Blizzard’s Overwatch game, will be renamed in the wake of the aftermath of sexual harassment charges against the company.
The in-game McCree, a pistol hauling cowboy character, was named after a genuine Blizzard staff part.
In August, he and two different executives left the company without clarification.
In a proclamation, the Overwatch group said it was “important to change the name to something that better addresses a big motivator for Overwatch”.
“Going ahead, in-game characters will presently don’t be named after genuine representatives,” it guaranteed.
