World Health Organisation has alarmed that the new coronavirus variant Omicron is spreading at an unprecedented rate.

Addressing a media briefing in Geneva, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said it is wrong to consider Omicron as causing mild disease.
