The election authority declared earlier this month that the delimitation process would be completed by November 30.

The electoral commission stated in a statement that the goal of shortening the delimitation procedure is to guarantee elections are held as soon as feasible.

The ECP further stated that a date for the polls will be announced while keeping the delimitation process timetable in mind, and that the date was announced following deliberation with the parties.

The Election Commission stated that polls would be held by mid-February at the maximum, or by the end of January if constituency delimitation is done early.

The ECP said on August 17 that the delimitation would be carried out in accordance with the updated census agreed by the Council of Common Interest (CCI) last month.
