Netanyahu will be tried as war criminal, says Erdogan

On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would face trial as a war criminal in connection with Israel's continuing military campaign in the Gaza Strip.

Addressing a gathering of an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) committee in Istanbul, Erdogan asserted that Gaza rightfully belongs to the Palestinian people and will forever remain Palestinian territory.
