ISLAMABAD — In a major employment initiative, the Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Defence (MOD) has officially announced more than 600 civilian job opportunities across the country. The recruitment drive, advertised under the “Situations Vacant” notice, offers career opportunities for Pakistani nationals across diverse academic levels—ranging from primary pass candidates to university graduates.
Broad Spectrum of Career Opportunities
The newly announced vacancies span Basic Pay Scales BS-01 through BS-16, covering technical, administrative, operational, and support roles. This expansive distribution ensures opportunities for both skilled professionals and entry-level job seekers nationwide.
Prominent Positions Announced
Technical & Professional Roles (BS-14 to BS-16): Architects, Software Developers, IT Support Engineers, Open Source Investigators, Research Assistants, Traffic Analysts, Quantity Surveyors, and AutoCAD Operators.
Administrative & Supervisory Roles (BS-11 to BS-13): Upper Division Clerks (UDC), Lower Division Clerks (LDC), Junior Supervisors, and Senior Supervisors.
Specialized & Field Support Roles (BS-05 to BS-11): Site Supervisors, Technicians, Camera/Drone Operators, Security Staff, Fire Fighters, and Plumbers.
Support Staff (BS-01 to BS-04): Drivers, Cooks, Mess Waiters, Naib Qasids, Malis, and Sanitary Workers.
Eligibility Criteria and Provincial Quotas
To ensure fair representation across the country, all appointments will be made in accordance with the standard federal quota system. Reserved seats have been allocated for candidates from Punjab, Sindh (Urban & Rural), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
General Requirements
Educational Qualification: Ranges from Primary, Middle, and Matriculation to Intermediate (F.A/F.Sc/DAE), and Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees depending on the specific post.
Age Limit: Generally set between 18 and 30 years, with standard age relaxations applicable as per Federal Government rules.
Gender: Both male and female candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria are eligible to apply.
Selection Procedure & Preparation
Following the screening of online applications, eligible candidates will undergo a multi-stage evaluation process:
Written Screening Test: Objective and subject-based tests testing general knowledge, subject-specific expertise, and basic analytical skills. Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify.
Skill / Practical Tests: Applicable for technical and clerical posts (e.g., typing tests for LDC/UDC or practical driving tests for Drivers).
