Karachi Police introduce smart patrolling cars to tackle crime

The Sindh Police have introduced smart cars in Karachi that will serve as an effective weapon in the fight against crime.

The police officer can react straight away as required because smart cars are equipped with high-resolution cameras, a Talaash app with a digital communication system, and internet access.

Moreover, the vehicles have advanced surveillance cameras, facial recognition technology, and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR).

Shahrah-e-Faisal will see the installation of the vehicles.

The introduction of this multipurpose vehicle is a step in the high-tech departmental modernization effort announced by provincial police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon.

IGP Memon expressed his gratitude to DIG South for introducing the smart automobiles in a statement.

He gave the order to create a standard SOP outlining all the activities and operations of the Shaheen Force.
