Islamabad (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted bail to more than 120 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers who were arrested during the protest on November 26. The court has also ordered their immediate release.
A division bench, consisting of Acting Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif, heard the bail petitions. Prominent lawyers, including Ali Bukhari, Babar Awan, and Murtaza Toori, appeared in court to represent the detained workers.
After reviewing the case, the IHC approved the bail on the condition that all released workers submit an affidavit at the police station, ensuring they will refrain from participating in similar protests in the future.
The court granted bail against surety bonds of PKR 20,000 per worker and instructed the authorities to release them without delay.
This ruling comes after several PTI workers were detained during the protest on November 26, prompting legal action and petitions for their release.
