IG Punjab announces Rs 25 lac for on-duty injured cops

Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General (IG) of the Punjab Police, announced an Rs. 25 lac for officers injured while on duty. Specifically, the IG Punjab took a number of actions to ensure the well-being of police officers.

A Rs 1 crore grant for police officers with disabilities who are unable to execute their responsibilities was also mentioned.

A report has been created to change the disabled police personnel post to a special post since it is already for the cops who were killed in the line of duty. The Punjab police also announced an improvement to the medical benefits for officers who are both partially and totally disabled.

Punjab police previously transferred 12 top police officers, among them District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur.

Imran Karamat Bukhari has taken over as DPO Kasur, according to a notification from the Punjab Police. Imran Karamat has also been told to report to the Central Police Office (CPO).

Asim Iftikhar has been named DPO Nankana Sahib, Tariq Aziz Sindhu has been named DPO Kasur, and Sardar Moharan Khan has been instructed to report to the CPO.
