To facilities customers prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr, the Green Line bus service has extended its operating hours by two hours. To reduce overcrowding during rush hour, the department took this decision.

80 buses ran between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. during Ramadan, with 40 buses travelling from Numaish to Abdullah Chowk in Surjani Town and 40 buses going the other way.

The new timings for these buses are as follows:

7 AM to 11:30 PM from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish

7 AM till 12:30 AM (midnight) from Numaish to Abdullah Chowk.

In a press conference, Abdul Aziz, a senior manager of the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company’s Bus Operation and Intelligence Transport System, said: “We decided to extend the bus operations timings by another couple of hours keeping in mind that there are several shopping centres and malls along the Green Line route where passengers would like to stop for their Eid shopping after iftar and even after the Taraveeh prayers.”
