The government is exploring alternate sources of energy due to rapidly depleting reserves of natural gas in the country.
Talking to reporters in Lahore today [Saturday], the Minister said Pakistan has lower oil prices compared to other countries in the region.
He said the increase in electricity price is due to circular debt. The government is trying to bring it down. So that government can provide maximum relief to the people.
Hammad Azhar said the government is establishing new grid stations in Lahore. New grid station will help in the provision of a better energy supply to the consumers.
