Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant spike on Wednesday as the rate surged by Rs4,250 per tola, reaching a record Rs287,450, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs3,642, settling at Rs246,440. This comes after a modest rise of Rs300 per tola on Tuesday, which had brought the price to Rs283,200.
Globally, gold prices also climbed, with the international rate reaching $2,751 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a $40 increase during the day.
Silver prices in Pakistan followed suit, rising by Rs59.4 per tola to Rs3,431.
