Gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs800 per tola on Monday, reflecting a decline in international market trends. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the new rate for one tola of gold is Rs277,000, while 10 grams are priced at Rs237,482 after a decrease of Rs687.
Silver prices, however, remained unchanged at Rs3,400 per tola.
In parallel, the Pakistani rupee experienced a slight depreciation against the US dollar in the inter-bank market, slipping by 0.02%. The rupee closed at 278.17, losing Re0.05 against the greenback on Monday.
Last week, the rupee saw a minor drop of Re0.11, closing at 278.12 compared to 278.01 in the previous week, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
