FM seeks UAE to resolve visa-related matters of Pakistan

Thanking the UAE leadership for their considerate approach towards expatriates, the foreign minister briefed Sheikh Nahyan about the issues faced by the Pakistani community, in particular the restrictions on visa-related matters. He stressed the importance of resolving them at the earliest.

According to the statement shared by the Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday met UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan and highlighted the need to nurture and strengthen further the close relations between the two countries.

He praised the role played by Sheikh Nahyan in strengthening people-to-people linkages between the two countries, encouraging UAE investment in Pakistan and promoting the welfare and well-being of 1.6 million strong Pakistani diaspora in the UAE.

FM Qureshi also discussed the prospects of enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of investment, tourism and related infrastructure and strengthening the bonds of amity between the peoples of the two nations.
