Caretaker PM Anwaarul Haq Kakar, inaugurated the Zainab Alert, Response, and Recovery App (ZARRA) on Monday, encouraging citizens to report any missing children as soon as possible.

Addressing a special event commemorating Universal Children’s Day, Prime Minister Kakar introduced the ‘ZARRA App,’ designed to aid in the recovery of missing and abducted children. The event, celebrated under the theme “For every child, every right,” reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the well-being and rights of children.

The ZARRA App, a mobile application, enables users to report missing children by uploading a photo and providing relevant information about the disappearance. Linked to all police stations in the country, the app allows users to track the progress of investigations and receive updates on the child’s status.

During the event, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the government’s determination to achieve inclusive development, education, healthcare, participation, dignity, and security for all children, aligning with the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. He highlighted children as a nation’s most precious asset and the key to future prosperity.

Acknowledging the efforts of the National Commission on the Rights for Children (NCRC) and the Ministry of Human Rights in launching the ZARRA Alert App, the prime minister called for collective efforts from government and non-governmental organizations and society as a whole to safeguard children’s rights.

On a global scale, Prime Minister Kakar addressed the ongoing crisis in Gaza, condemning Israel’s oppression and urging world powers to intervene and stop the brutal killing of innocent people, particularly children. He emphasized the need for immediate action to end the humanitarian crisis.

In an interaction with differently-abled children, the prime minister expressed admiration for their intellect, perseverance, and desire to contribute positively to society despite facing challenges. He commended their spirit and determination to showcase their talents against all odds, highlighting their impressive resilience.
