Australia has won their first ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup 2022 beating New Zealand by 8 wickets at United Arab Emirites yesterday.
Australia had won the toss and decided to field first.
Batting first, New Zealand set a victory target of 173 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in alloted 20 overs.
In reply, Australia achieved the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Australian batter Mitchell Marsh was declared the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 77.
Meanwhile, the Player of the Tournament was awarded to Aussie opening batter, David Warner.
The two teams had played a match together only once before in the T20 World Cup history when New Zealand defeated Australia by 8 runs in India.
