At least 20 injured in Sheikhupura train crash

On Sunday, two trains crashed near Qilla Sattar Shah in Sheikhupura district, injuring at least 20 passengers, including women and children.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when a passenger train going for Mianwali collided with a goods train already parked on the main railway line.

Rescue services arrived quickly after the tragedy and sent the injured to a local hospital, where five patients are claimed to be in critical condition.

When ten bogies of the Hazara Express traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi derailed at Nawab Shah on August 6, at least 25 persons were killed and over 100 were injured.

According to railway officials, the terrible occurrence occurred near Sahara Railway Station, which is located between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah, while the Hazara Express was en route from Karachi.

The catastrophe caused ten bogies to derail, causing panic and injury among the passengers on board.
