Some Indian cricket players called on Pakistan’s injured fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi on Thursday and inquired after his wellbeing.
The Twenty20 Asia Cup 2022 is now taking place in Dubai with the top cricket teams from Asia in presence. Cricket players from various teams are randomly meeting up with one another. Prior to the competition, the sportsmen from Pakistan and India, two longtime rivals, meet.
The UAE will host the commencement of the biggest cricket competition in Asia on August 27. There are six teams in Dubai, including Pakistan and India, and they are all hard at work in their practice sessions.
In the T20 squad for the competition, Shaheen Afridi is not present. He does, however, take part in the recovery tour.
Shaheen Afridi was taking a break from the training when the Indian team’s players arrived to greet him. He was visited by Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul, who inquired about his physical condition. The Indian sportsmen sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery to him.
At the same time, it was a pleasant get-together for the coaching staff of both teams.
Earlier, a meeting between Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam attracted a lot of appreciation from cricket buffs around the world.
