Pakistan and Sri Lanka will square off at the Dubai International Stadium for Asia Cup 2022 Final Today. After the Super Four Match between both teams, a one day rest has been observed without any cricket activity.

The Pakistani team is probably playing with 2 changes from the Super Four squad. Adding the pacer Naseem Shah and Allrounder Shadab Khan back in the squad, replacing Hassan Ali and Usman Qadir. Both Hassan Ali and Usman Qadir replaced Naseem and Shahdab in the team during the Super Four match against Sri Lanka.

According to sources, the middle order and Fakhar Zaman have been consistently failing to score runs, which is concerning the Pakistan team management.

Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup for 5 times and eyes a sixth win in their 11th appearance in the Final. Contrary to that, Pakistan has reached the final for the 5th time and is in the perfect position to win the title for the third time.

Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in their previous match by five wickets. Saqlain Mushtaq, Pakistan’s head coach, downplayed the loss, saying his team was focused on the bigger picture: winning the Asia Cup Trophy.

“We just wanted to try a few things as our attention is focused on the final. You would see a different Pakistan team than what you saw the other day in a relatively insignificant match. Every player would perform at his optimal level in the final as all our energies are focused on winning the Cup,” he said.

Furthermore, Babar Azam the captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team encouraged the team member. He said “I am lucky to captain a team that is full of potential. Every player is a matchwinner. We see a new Man of the Match in every match.”
