Salman Iqbal, president and chief executive officer of ARY Digital Network, said on Wednesday that the media company has purchased the TV and digital rights for two seasons of La Liga in Pakistan. This is wonderful news for Pakistani soccer fans.

La Liga Seasons 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 will be broadcast live in Pakistan on the country’s first HD sports channel, A-Sports, and the mobile app ARYZAP.

The highest men’s division of the Spanish football league system is called La Liga.

It is governed by the Liga Nacional de Ftbol Profesional and features 20 clubs. The bottom three teams in each season are demoted to the Segunda División, where they are replaced by the top two teams and the winner of the play-offs.

La Liga has topped Europe for 22 of the 60 ranking years up to 2019, more than any other nation, and has been the best league in Europe for each of the seven years from 2013 to 2019 (calculated using totals from five seasons prior).

The start of La Liga Season 2022–23 is set for August 13.

Salman Iqbal, president and chief executive officer of ARY Digital Network, had earlier in June announced the purchase of TV and digital rights for the FIFA World Cup 2022, which was another great news for soccer fans in the nation.

When the FIFA World Cup begins in November, Pakistani soccer fans will be able to stream it on ARY ZAP and watch it live on A-Sports.

Among other important sporting events, A-Sports have previously broadcast the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, PSL Season 2022, and Karachi Open Squash Championship. The British Grand Prix of Formula One in 2022 was also broadcast on the channel.

Pakistan vs. West Indies cricket series was recently livestreamed via the well-known ARY ZAP app, which is owned by ARY Digital Network.
