Airlines operating domestically and internationally have started giving business class passengers their Federal Excise Duty refunds (FED).

The federal government ordered them to reimburse the passengers for the FED amount, which is how the situation developed.

Every business class passenger who purchased tickets before July 1, 2022, and paid an extra FED, would receive a refund of Rs. 40,000.

In the meanwhile, the airlines have instructed the impacted passengers to get in touch with airline representatives to request refunds.

In response to harsh criticism regarding their high airfares, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) recently stated that it would reduce the price of one-way tickets for students traveling to China.

An additional 10% off of one-way ticket prices to China has been offered by the national flag carrier. A 22 percent discount is also offered to customers who buy tickets straight from PIA’s booking office.

Additionally, PIA raised the 80 kg weight restriction on student bags from 40 kg. The changes take effect right away.

To help Pakistani students return to China and continue their studies, the PIA runs two special flights per week. Flights from Pakistan to Chengdu and Xi’an are included in this.
