During a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister instructed line departments—including the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122, the Irrigation Department, and local administrative bodies—to stay on high alert and coordinate operations seamlessly.
Key Directives & Action Plan
Relief & Evacuation: Emergency response teams have been instructed to facilitate prompt evacuations from vulnerable areas along riverbeds and low-lying regions. Temporary relief camps equipped with medical supplies, food, and safe drinking water are being expanded to cater to affected families.
Reconstruction & Financial Support: Reaffirming her pledge to flood-hit residents, the government has integrated housing recovery efforts into provincial rehabilitation packages to assist victims in rebuilding destroyed or damaged homes.
Infrastructure Protection: CM Maryam ordered administrative teams to ensure continuous monitoring of rivers, canals, and drainage points, while directing the immediate clearance of waterlogged urban centers and critical roadways.
Digital Monitoring & Field Presence: Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with overseeing relief operations directly from the ground. Digital monitoring systems and surveys are being utilized to track assistance delivery transparently.
