RIYADH: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, in Riyadh to discuss enhancing security collaboration between the two nations. The meeting, held at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior headquarters, marked a significant step toward deepening bilateral ties.

Key topics included bolstering joint efforts against drug smuggling and exploring various other areas of mutual interest in security and law enforcement.

Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed Pakistan’s profound respect and special bond with Saudi Arabia, highlighting the Kingdom’s unwavering support during Pakistan’s challenging times.

“Every Pakistani shares a deep, religious connection with Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s visionary leadership and goodwill for the people of Pakistan have always been exemplary. We sincerely appreciate Saudi Arabia’s invaluable support,” Naqvi said.

Prince Abdulaziz extended a warm welcome to the Pakistani delegation, emphasizing the directive of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to strengthen security ties between the two nations. He noted the historical and robust relations that have always united Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by prominent officials from both sides, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, and Director General of Passports and Immigration, Mustafa Jamal Qazi. Saudi officials included Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser Al-Daoud, Undersecretary Dr. Khalid Al-Batal, and Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami.

The high-level talks underscore the shared commitment to addressing regional and global security challenges collaboratively, further solidifying the longstanding partnership between the two nations.
