The Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA) has reported a sharp 46.73% increase in car sales during the first four months of the fiscal year 2024-25 compared to the same period last year. This growth reflects a rising demand within the local automobile market.

Between July and October 2024, a total of 30,625 cars were sold in Pakistan, significantly up from the 20,871 units sold during the same period last year. This substantial rise was fueled by robust sales across several popular models.

The data breakdown shows notable gains for Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki. Sales of the Honda Civic and City models rose to 4,424 units this year, almost doubling last year’s 2,239 units. Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales also surged by 65.05%, with 6,655 units sold this year compared to 4,032 units in 2023.

Suzuki models showed mixed results. While Swift sales grew by 26.84%, rising from 1,576 to 1,999 units, sales of Suzuki Cultus and WagonR declined. Cultus sales dropped to 629 units from last year’s 1,142, and WagonR sales fell to 737 units from 1,160.

Conversely, Suzuki Alto saw a 35.90% increase in sales, rising from 9,362 to 12,723 units. Suzuki Bolan experienced a remarkable jump, with sales rising from 684 units last year to 2,690 units this year.

This surge reflects consumer confidence and a positive outlook for the automobile sector, which has been boosted by economic stability and supportive government policies.
