KARACHI: A high-profile delegation from the Turkish Navy, led by Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Ibrahim Özdem KOÇER, visited Karachi today. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance military and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye, particularly within their naval forces.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation held comprehensive discussions with senior field commanders of the Pakistan Navy. These discussions focused on various matters of mutual interest, with a particular emphasis on promoting professional collaboration and enhancing operational capabilities through joint initiatives.

The Turkish delegation’s itinerary included a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, where they paid homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan. This gesture underscored the deep respect and historical ties between the two brotherly nations.

In addition to formal meetings, the visit featured joint naval exercises and patrolling operations in the Arabian Sea, involving ships from both navies. These exercises are designed to improve interoperability, coordination, and readiness for joint operations, reinforcing the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.

The visit of the Turkish Navy delegation and the successful execution of joint exercises signify a robust commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. This collaboration not only enhances naval capabilities but also fosters a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect between the armed forces of the two countries. The continuous engagement through such high-level visits and joint activities is expected to further consolidate the long-standing friendship and strategic alliance between Pakistan and Turkiye.
