Azerbaijan’s national airline announced today that it will begin direct flights to Pakistan.
According to sources, Azerbaijan’s national airline, AZAL, has announced the start of direct flights to Pakistan, with the first flight arriving at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 11:40 p.m. tonight.
A total of 15 people will travel from Baku to Lahore on the maiden trip, while 80 passengers will depart from Lahore.
Two weekly flights would be flown between Lahore and Baku during the initial phase.
The Interim Minister of Aviation and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador will greet the inaugural flight, which is expected to land tonight; in the meantime, the flight will receive a water salute upon arrival at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.
The airline has now introduced a ticket-purchasing mobile application for the convenience of travellers, who may also order tickets on the airline’s official website.
