Two Pakistan Army personnel died as a result of an exchange of fire in the Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), quoting the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to sources, an exchange of fire occurred on Saturday between security forces and terrorists, resulting in the death of two extremists.

“However, during the intense exchange of gunfire, Ghulam Murtaza and Sepoy Muhammad Anwar fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom,” the ISPR claimed.

The military’s media wing reported that the region is being sanitized in order to eradicate any other terrorists located in the area.

“Pakistan’s Security Forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve,” the news release read.

The ISPR had earlier said that two terrorists were gunned down by security personnel during a fire battle in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) district of North Waziristan.

Terrorists and security forces engaged in a fiery battle in the Dosali area of the North Waziristan district. “The forces effectively retaliated to terrorist firing, resulting in the death of two active terrorists,” the ISPR said.”It gallantly accepted martyrdom,” said the ISPR.

Three days previously, security forces killed two militants in the North Waziristan district during an intelligence-based operation (IBO).

“During the operation, an intense fire exchange occurred between security forces and terrorists, resulting in the death of two terrorists,” the ISPR said, adding that weapons and ammo were retrieved from the terrorists who were killed.
