Dr. Fowzia met her sister Dr. Aafia Siddiqui in Fort Worth, Texas, where she is currently jailed, after a 20-year wait.

Clive Stafford Smith, a British attorney, escorted Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui to see her sister.

Aafia Siddiqui is currently being held at the infamous FMC Carswell jail, according to JI Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. Dr. Aafia Siddiqui has been given permission to meet with her family. The senator stated that Aafia’s elder sister, Dr. Fowzia, had visited with her and that he will meet with the “Daughter of Nation” on Thursday.

Senator Mushtaq stated that the sisters met after 20 years and that the meeting lasted two and a half hours. Dr. Fowzia was not allowed to touch her sister or show her images of Dr. Aafia’s children while meeting her sister. They met in a room separated by a tall glass wall.

Dr. Fowzia went on to say that Aafia is in poor health. She was eager to meet her mother and children, and she had no idea that our mother died about a year ago.
