A Punjab government delegation has come to the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and EX-PM Imran Khan to discuss the SOPs for a search operation, as authorities allege “30-40 terrorists” are present inside Zaman Park.

The group arrived at Zaman Park after the authorities acquired search warrants from an anti-terrorism court to raid the former prime minister’s mansion. It was led by Lahore’s commissioner and included SP, DIG, and lady police personnel.

The Punjab government agreed to deploy a team to seek talks with the PTI leadership before undertaking the search operation at Zaman Park.

The talks with Imran Khan have come to an end, and conversations with his legal team have commenced.

The Punjab government stated on Wednesday that “30-40 terrorists were hiding inside Imran Khan’s residence” and gave the PTI 24 hours to hand over these miscreants or face prosecution.

However, nothing was done after the deadline passed on Thursday.

Later, Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir stated that law enforcement will search EX PM Imran Khan’s residence with his permission and in front of cameras in order to catch “terrorists.”

“We [the interim government] have decided that instead of a head-on collision, we will send a delegation to Imran Khan under the supervision of the Lahore commissioner.”

“They will request permission from him [Imran Khan] to conduct a search operation.” “There is a reported presence of terrorists, so a police party of 400 people will accompany the delegation,” he stated.
