After receiving permission from the former prime minister, Punjab police will send a party to search Imran Khan’s house in Lahore today in order to catch “terrorists” supposedly holed up in Zaman Park. Punjab Interim Information Minister Amir Mir was quoted in the news.

He stated that the delegation would be led by the commissioner of Lahore. Mir went on to say that the team would schedule a meeting with Imran and then search his home in front of cameras.

The minister further announced that roughly 400 police officers would join the group “to arrest terrorists holed up there.”

According to sources, the government and Imran Khan will begin negotiations for a house search today.

Amir Mir, speaking exclusively to News, stated yesterday that the delegation will meet with Imran Khan and then search his home in front of cameras.

“They will request permission from the former prime minister to conduct a search operation.” Because there is a rumored presence of terrorists, a police party of 400 people will accompany the delegation,” he added.

He said that the police apprehended eight people leaving the PTI chairman’s Zaman Park mansion, who was involved in the attack on Jinnah House. “Those arrested were those who were identified through geofencing,” he continued.

Furthermore, he stated that if Imran Khan refuses to consent to a search operation, a meeting will be called at 7:00 p.m. for future ‘course of plan’.

Protests

After the arrest of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan from the grounds of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) last week, violent confrontations erupted across Pakistan.

Protests were held in both distant and big cities as party activists became agitated following the arrest of their chairman, with Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad requesting the armed forces to maintain peace and order.

During a protest by PTI workers in Lahore, army installations and the Corps Commander’s home were attacked.
