Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has left his home in Zaman Park for Islamabad in order to appear in court in various cases.

At the Islamabad High Court and Judicial Complex in the nation’s capital, the former prime minister is anticipated to make an appearance.

The PTI leader will appear in IHC to request bail in seven cases that have been filed against him as a result of the vandalism at the courthouse during his previous visit. The former prime minister was the subject of numerous cases that were filed at the Ramna, CTD, and Golra police stations in Islamabad.

Hours before the PTI leader left, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) prohibited live and recorded coverage of any party, organization, or individual’s rallies, public meetings, or processions taking place in Islamabad today.

The regulator claimed that the vandalism at the PTI chief’s previous visit at the judicial complex had “caused disorder and panic” among the spectators and police and that this was why it was enforcing the ban.

According to PEMRA, airing such content was against the regulator’s guidelines and in violation of a ruling issued suo motu by the Supreme Court. It issued a warning that failure to comply would result in the suspension of the license of TV channels airing such content.
