ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his country’s strong commitment to eradicating the threat of terrorism entirely.

This day sends a message to the entire world that Pakistan has made tremendous sacrifices to eradicate terrorism, he said in tweets on Friday marking the 8th anniversary of the Army Public School tragedy. He declared that our fight will continue with the same intensity and steadfastness until this threat was entirely defeated.

The 16th of December, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, serves as a constant reminder of the pain and suffering caused by the terrorist attack at the Army Public School in Peshawar.

This suffering was felt for many years, but it was never forgotten. The prime minister declared that today is the time to remember the victims of the tragedy and show sympathy for their loved ones. He declared that the Pakistani people would never forget the martyrs’ sacrifices.

Today marks the eighth anniversary of the brutal terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which claimed the lives of almost 150 people.

When terrorists attacked Army Public School Peshawar on December 16, 2014, at least 149 people, including 132 students and 17 staff members, were killed and several others were injured. The government created the National Action Plan (NAP) to end terrorism in the nation as a result of this unfortunate occurrence.
