Gen Bajwa asked me to remove Buzdar: EX-PM Imran Khan

Imran Khan, a former leader of Pakistan, criticized General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa severely once more, alleging that the former Army chief had placed his favorites in high-profile positions.

The resolute politician accused Gen (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa of asking him to oust Usman Buzdar, the former chief minister of Punjab, and replace him with Aleem Khan as the leader of the provincial government in an interview with Bol News.

Khan asserted that Usman Buzdar’s removal was demanded by Gen. Bajwa, which ultimately contributed to his collapse, and that the motion of no confidence could not be successful without the support of the establishment.

Weeks after Bajwa’s exit, Khan recalled his alleged conversation with then-COAS, revealing that the former top general asked him to remove Usman Buzdar, paving way for Aleem Khan. But, Khan said he followed his course in the wake of corruption references against Aleem Khan.

The PTI chairman claimed that Gen Bajwa promised lawmakers that the PML-N would form the next government in the center, tying PTI’s demise following his expulsion to those ideas.

In addition, he charged that General (r) Bajwa had meddled in the National Accountability Bureau. Khan, lamenting his lack of power, said that Bajwa was in charge of the anti-graft watchdog.

The PTI leader revealed current information days after accusing Gen (r) Bajwa of deceiving his government. The cricketer-turned-politician, who is making frightening comments about the former military leader, recently acknowledged that extending the term of the then-COAS Bajwa in 2019 was a grave error.

During Saturday’s interview, Khan also sheds light on the dissolution of assemblies, saying Punjab CM Pervaiz Elahi was of the view that the provincial government should continue as of now however, Elahi assured him of complying with his direction.
