Civil works on the 1,320 MW Shanghai Electric Thar Coal Block-1 Power Generation Company (PVT) Ltd. project is expected to be finished this year, according to a media report.
The energy produced by the project will be enough to power four million Pakistani households once it is done. Shanghai Electric, a multinational firm, also hired Pakistani and Chinese laborers.
The Thar Coal Block-1 Power Plant employs approximately 5,000 employees, the majority of whom are Muslims.
Sufyan Ansar Warraich, 32, is one of the worker who made these miracles possible. Due to his remarkable job performance, he was named one of the outstanding Pakistani staff of CPEC Projects in 2021.
Warraich works with his coworkers to construct the Thar Coal Block-1 Power Plant, a combined coal mine and coal-powered electricity generation facility in Islamkot, Tharparkar District, Sindh, Pakistan, as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
