For the provision of recreational facilities to the people of Karachi, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has decided to set up a zip line at Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim along the city’s Clifton coastline.

Sindh Governments’s spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab announced the zip line.

The KMC’s Parks and Horticulture Department has issued a request for proposals for the zip line project’s implementation.

The proposed zip line will be 3,000 feet long and will run from Kothari Parade to the Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim boundary wall at Clifton Beach Road, according to Parks Director General (DG) Junaid Ullah Khan who revealed the plan to ARY News.

He said, “The best, suitable and interested parties have been asked to submit their feasibility plan with a complete design of installation of the zip line, the time required for its installation, and material to be used thereof latest by February 22, 2022.”

The KMC would give the contract to the lowest bidding contractor, according to DG Parks Junaid Ullah Khan. When asked about the cost of the proposed zipline leisure activity, DG Parks Khan stated that the price would be determined after the contract was awarded.

The zipline will be the first-ever to be installed in Karachi, and the third one all across Pakistan. The other two zip lines are in Islamabad and Malam Jabba.
