Gulabo Rani, the most recent horror short from Usman Mukhtar, is an irresistible hit. The actor-turned-filmmaker has been informing his followers on social media of the movie’s successes, and he has just revealed that it has lately won multiple international honors.
The film won prizes for Best Horror Short Film, Best Sound Design, Best Male Director, and Best Cinematography, among other honors. The movie also earned prizes at the Indie X Film Fest LA, including Best Horror Short Film and Best Male Director, as well as a prize for Best Horror Short Film at the Indie Short Fest LA, Mukhtar was happy to announce.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m happy to announce that our film, Gulabo Rani, has won seven more prizes internationally, including four wins at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles,” Mukhtar tweeted beside a photo of the awards.
The director of Bench sent a heartfelt letter to the actors and crew thanking them for their contributions, writing, “I want to express my appreciation to everyone who worked on this project, including the cast and staff, for their diligence and commitment. What we were able to accomplish on such a small budget is simply amazing.” Despite the challenges, Mukhtar observed that everyone gave the project their best effort, showing their dedication to excellence and storytelling.
He praised the actors, saying, “Your performances were genuinely exceptional and captured the spirit of the story,” for bringing their characters to life with honesty and passion. He also praised the crew’s steadfast efforts and positive attitude, saying that they had been working nonstop behind the scenes to make sure everything was great.
The Anaa star concluded his speech by showing appreciation to all those who worked on the project “I appreciate all you’ve done.
