The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a significant increase in visit visa fees for Pakistani citizens, effective immediately. This change is part of the UAE’s efforts to streamline the visa process and enhance transparency in its fee structures, aiming to maintain its status as a top tourist destination in the Gulf region.

Under the new guidelines, the cost for a 30-day tourist visa is now 200 Emirati Dirhams, up from the previous fee. For a 60-day visa, applicants will need to pay 300 Emirati Dirhams, plus an additional 5% value-added tax. These revised fees apply to both new applicants and those seeking visa extensions within the UAE.

In addition to the higher visa fees, applicants must also pay a 500 Dirham country processing fee and a 20 Dirham Innovation fee. Required documentation includes a passport copy, personal photograph, national identity card (for certain nationalities), valid UAE medical insurance, and proof of onward or return travel. The application process can be completed through the GDRFA website or their smart application.

The UAE’s decision to increase visit visa fees for Pakistani citizens is influenced by factors such as immigration trends, security concerns, and economic considerations. These changes aim to streamline the visa process and ensure that the fee structure aligns with the UAE’s strategic goals as a leading tourist destination.

Prospective travelers from Pakistan should carefully review the updated visa requirements and fees before planning their trips to the UAE. It is recommended to consult the official GDRFA website or seek guidance from UAE travel agencies to stay informed about the latest developments and ensure a smooth visa application process.

The increase in visit visa fees for Pakistani citizens is a significant development, reflecting the UAE’s ongoing efforts to manage its immigration policies and maintain its position as a premier tourist hub in the Gulf region. Travelers from Pakistan will need to consider the new visa costs when planning their visits to the UAE.
