In a historic move for Pakistan’s meat industry, “The Organic Meat Company Ltd,” a leading player in the country’s meat processing and export sector, has become the first Pakistani firm to secure registration with the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).

This achievement not only opens up new avenues for Pakistan’s meat exports but also cements the country’s position in the global meat market, according to Ghulam Qadir, the Commercial Counsellor at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing. To attain GACC registration, the Organic Meat Company Ltd underwent rigorous inspections and quality audits, underscoring its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in meat production, processing, and packaging.

This milestone provides Pakistan access to the burgeoning Chinese meat market, known for its growing demand for high-quality meat products. It positions Pakistan as a credible and reliable meat supplier to China, with the potential to significantly boost the country’s meat exports, stimulate economic growth, and create job opportunities within the meat processing industry. Furthermore, it enhances Pakistan’s reputation on the global stage, showcasing the nation’s ability to meet the stringent requirements of international markets.

Chaudhary Javed Saleem, associated with the meat and related products business, expressed his delight at this historic achievement, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to delivering the highest quality meat products to the Chinese market. This accomplishment sets a precedent for other Pakistani meat companies, encouraging them to strive for excellence in quality and compliance with international standards. Overall, it signifies a significant breakthrough that paves the way for stronger trade relations with China and a promising future for Pakistan’s meat exports on the global stage. The General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) plays a crucial role in regulating food imports, including meat products, making GACC registration a noteworthy accomplishment.

What is GACC

The General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) is the regulatory authority responsible for overseeing and setting stringent standards for imports into China, particularly in the realm of food products, including meat. GACC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of imported goods with Chinese regulations and international standards. For meat exporters, being registered with GACC signifies that their products meet the strict criteria required for access to the Chinese market, thus allowing them to engage in trade with China, a crucial and rapidly growing global market.
