Government has extended the interim bail of the president of PMLN Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday till 23rd July. The basis of which was the absence of Shahbaz Sharif’s lawyer. However, Shahbaz Sharif himself was present at the court hearing and requested a plea to postpone his hearing. His presence, as he claimed, was only out of respect of the justice system as he was still not feeling well.

Shahbaz Sharif has been ill since a few months and his lawyers were apprehensive regarding his health issues. They want him to be particular more cautious amid the pandemic because his doctors have advised him as such. The 69 years old president was under doctor’s observation in between the hearings

On previous hearings, his representative counsel, Mr Tarrar, put forth the request to extend Shahbaz Sharif’s bail for an addition of 3 months so that he could appear before the court without any delay. It was already approved by the court that granted time to him and his consultants for further stipulations.
